How to choose a sign for your kennel?
Size, material and mounting method — the three main criteria.
A beautiful sign bearing your kennel’s name is more than decoration. It is part of its identity, reflecting its style, character and love for the breed.
1. Choosing the size
Size depends on the installation location and the complexity of the design.
- 15×20 cm — a compact plaque for a door, kennel enclosure or indoor space.
- 20×30 cm — a versatile option with the kennel name and breed silhouette.
- 30×40 cm or larger — a striking sign for an entrance, gate or façade.
Tip: the more detailed the logo and the longer the name, the larger the sign should be.
2. Choosing the material
Metal (2–3 mm steel) is strong and durable. Laser cutting accurately reproduces a dog silhouette and logo details. We recommend a protective coating for outdoor use.
Stainless steel is an elegant option with a contemporary character. A mirror-polished or brushed surface looks particularly striking.
Acrylic is lightweight and available in a wide range of colours. It suits bright logos, layered compositions and decorative lighting.
Combined materials — metal, acrylic, hand painting and epoxy resin — allow a truly individual piece to be created.
3. Choosing the mounting method
- Screws — a reliable solution for gates, walls and wooden surfaces.
- Stand-off mounts — hold the plaque slightly away from the wall for a sense of depth.
- Decorative chains or hangers — for doors, fences and indoor designs.
- Mounting adhesive or tape — for small, lightweight plaques on suitable smooth surfaces.
A tip from PetDecor Studio
The best result comes from designing a sign for its specific installation location.
Consider the surface colour, the distance from which the name will be read, weather conditions and the details of the logo.
PetDecor Studio creates custom kennel signs, from minimalist metal silhouettes to exclusive compositions with hand-painted finishes.
🐾 Your kennel deserves its own distinctive sign.
